WHY SHOES? There are an estimated 1.5 billion people worldwide who do not own a single pair of shoes. Footwear is the first step in helping people who live in impoverished areas rebuild and lead healthy, productive lives. Worship Leader magazine and Soles4Souls® are encouraging readers and their community to clean out their closets and host a shoe drive at your church to provide the first pair of shoes to people who need them.

HOW TO WIN:
1)  HOST A SHOE DRIVE
Register your church at www.giveshoes.org/worshipleader
and Soles4Souls® will send you bins and materials.
2)  COLLECT SHOES UNTIL JANUARY 31, 2012
Gather shoes from your community and submit your tally.
3)  TWO CHURCHES WILL WIN
Two Churches that donate the most shoes by January 31, 2012 will win a shoe distribution trip for two from Miami to Haiti with the Soles4Souls® team.

    1. I am very interested in serving at the new church I am attending in some special way that will benefit others who are in need. Surprisingly, I received a Worship Leader Magazine this month encouraging readers and church community to clean out their closets and provide the first pair of shoes to the people who need them. This got my attention!!! I will keep praying and believing that I can do this ministry in this small church of less then 12 people in weekly attendance every month. After reading your magazine article about how to help others, I will register today.
